Here are my art galleries. Pick your poison:
So that is the boiled down version, that 5 seconds of finding out who I am, but that isn’t the meat of me.
In some way, shape or form, I have been putting my thoughts and feelings down on paper since I learned how to write. It started out as bad poetry and short stories. Now, I write articles and books. I still write poems on occasion. I write articles for my website, How To Witchcraft. I am writing books to sell on Kindle devices and apps.
I started crafting when I was a child with cross stitch. Over the years I has expanded into sewing, painting and making jewelry. I will try my hand at any number of other crafts on occasion.
When I started sewing and making jewelry, I was giving away most of what I made as birthday and Christmas presents. Every time I gave one of my crafts as a gift, I was told that I should sell my crafts. As I started running out of people to give my crafts, I started selling them, but quickly found out that it wasn’t worth the hassle of shipping them. That’s why I love digital products.
I love patterns and playing with Photoshop. I am working on a sets of patterns to sell in a variety of ways like fabric and coloring books.
I am a passionate, caring and obsessive soul. I love deeply and truly, with whimsy and a hint of darkness. I perceive the world around me with my six senses, but mostly through my skin.
A stanza from my favorite poem shows the imagery of me. It is from Walt Whitman’s I Sing The Body Electric:
“I have perceiv’d that to be with those I like is enough,
To stop in company with the rest at evening is enough,
To be surrounded by beautiful, curious, breathing, laughing flesh is enough,
To pass among them, or touch any one, or rest my arm ever so lightly round his or her neck
for a moment—what is this, then?
I do not ask any more delight—I swim in it, as in a sea.
There is something in staying close to men and women, and looking on them, and in the
contact and odor of them, that pleases the soul well;
All things please the soul—but these please the soul well.”
Another quote by one of my favorite actors adds dimension to your perception of me:
“I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.” – Mae West
‘Who I am’ can not be summed up in words or pictures. I am a faceted jewel. The perception of me is ever-changing, ever-moving, always growing. To know me is to look into an abyss of wonder and delight. To know my mind is to look into the confusion of an enigma.
Have I confused you yet? I’m not as simple as I look. No one person can know all of me. Yet, everyone can know some of me and that is enough. Do not look at the skeletons in my closet. Do not try to perceive even that which I no longer look at. Do not say you know me, all of me. I am a weird mix of contradictions and obsessions.
That is me.
